During a journey through Sri Lanka over the New Year of 2024/2025, Mattia from Switzerland met Dinishka, a local Sri Lankan. What started as a chance encounter quickly grew into a close friendship that continued long after the trip had ended. Despite living on opposite sides of the world, we discovered that we shared the same values: a love for Sri Lanka, a belief in genuine human connection, and the conviction that tourism should leave something positive behind.
The more we talked, the more one idea kept returning. What if travel could become more than simply visiting beautiful places? What if every journey could bring people from different cultures closer together while also creating real opportunities for those who call Sri Lanka home?
That idea became Saviva Lanka Humanity Travel.
Today, we combine local knowledge with a personal understanding of what international travellers truly seek. Together, we create journeys that are authentic, deeply personal, and designed to leave lasting memories— not only for our guests, but also for the communities they visit.
Alongside our travel company in Sri Lanka, a separate charitable association in Switzerland is being established to support carefully selected projects for children. While both organisations have different responsibilities, they are united by one shared purpose: creating meaningful connections that make a lasting difference.
Because no matter where we are born, every child deserves the chance to grow up in safety, experience love, and build a future full of opportunity.

Saviva Lanka Humanity Travel is founded and operated in Sri Lanka by people who know the country as their home. Our local team plans every journey with great care—from accommodation and transportation to authentic experiences and personal recommendations. Because we live here, we understand the seasons, the culture, the hidden places and the small details that transform a good holiday into an unforgettable experience. We work with trusted local drivers, guides, family-run hotels, hosts and experience providers who share our values. By building long-term partnerships instead of simply choosing the cheapest option, we help ensure that tourism creates value for local families and communities across the island.
Sahana Humanity Aid is an independent non-profit association based in Switzerland. Its mission is to support carefully selected projects that improve the lives of children in Sri Lanka through education, healthcare, safety and long-term opportunities. Transparency, responsibility and measurable impact are at the heart of every initiative. Saviva Lanka Humanity Travel intends to contribute approximately 10–15% of its annual profit to the association or to carefully selected charitable projects. Rather than linking donations to individual bookings, we believe in building a sustainable model that grows alongside the company and creates long-term support where it is needed most. As our journey continues, we will openly share the projects we support, the impact they create and the stories of the people whose lives they help improve.
